Hunter Valley Semillon 2001 - $9.00
A very classy Hunter Semillon, very much in the traditional style, and just showing the initial signs of bottle development – with lightly toasted aromatics and lemon butter richness that builds in the mouth. Delicate yet full of flavour and drinking brilliantly right now.
"A standout from the current catalogue is the Hunter Valley Semillon
2001 which is lithe, lemony and amazingly youthful given its age. At
$9 a bottle it's an absolute steal." Greg Duncan Powell, SMH 20/3/2007
A great example of Hunter Valley Semillon filling out nicely as it hits middle age. Loaded up with textbook Sunlight soap and straw characters, this wine still has enough lively acid to make it that rarest of commodities - a cleanskin you could cellar for another year or two."

Hunter Valley “Skinny” Semillon 2007 - $9.90
“herbish, lemony, low alcohol delight”
Hunter Semillon is famous for delivering flavour without excessive alcohol, and therefore excessive calories. So here is a spankingly fresh white that is not only delicious but low in kilojoules to boot. Made in the trad Hunter, early picked style, it is absolutely brimming with fresh herby characters and the lemony tang that’s a perfect marriage with grilled seafood. It’s a scrumptious drink now, will only improve with time in the cellar and you can have an extra helping without the guilt or headache. Why wait?

Mount Barker 'Marri Mountain' Riesling 2004 - $9.90
“pithy lime goodness”
Mount Barker is located in the Great Southern region
along the south coast of Western Australia. The region is distinguished by its gravelly soils called "marri" that have good drainage qualities and low fertility. Low humidity and long, sunshine filled days are ideally suited to producing delicate, intense white wines.
This vibrant, youthful little Riesling combines the intense character of fresh lime zest with juicier, almost passionfruit like tangyness before a long, minerallly, pithy dry finish. It is elegant, fragrant, fresh, full of flavour and beautiful with a big bowl of Balmain bugs.

Victorian 'Pebble Creek' Pinot Grigio 2006 - $11.70
“pear and creamed honey”
This is a distinctive example of the variety, positioned a little in between the Italian style of crisp grigio and the fuller, softer “gris” approach. There are flavours of straw and soft green pear and while the palate is pretty soft and generous it finishes up nice and dry with a streak of river pebble like minerality. A delicious unwooded alternative for those a bit tired of Sauvignon, but not quite ready to come back to Chardonnay.

Clare Valley Riesling 2005 - $9.90
“lime zest”
A typically citrussy Clare style with aromas of lime zest and talc. The palate is fresh and lively with some generous mid palate juiciness and a lip smackingly tangy finish. It’s like an extra squeeze of lemon with your favourite seafood, hot off the grill.
Geelong 'The Long Lunch' Riesling 2005 - $10.80
“musk stick aromatics and juicy lime palate” This is a follow up to the popular 2004 and in a similar style – full of spicy, musky aromatics and a palate that’s all juicy limes and apples with a long, tangy finish. We reckon it’s terrific with grilled white fish over a leisurely long lunch.
Mudgee Riesling 2005 - $7.20
“floral and juicy” A delicious little quaffing white with delightful floral and lime cordial aromatics while the palate is juicy and soft with enough fruit to generously fill the mid palate and enough tangy acidity to make it a delight with the Friday night fish ‘n chips.
South Australian 'Orange Blossom' Traminer Riesling 2005 - $8.10
“gently sweet orange blossom and jasmine”
This white wine is wonderfully aromatic with wafts of orange blossom and jasmine that carry on to the gently sweet, juicy and soft textured palate. Delicious with fresh fruit desserts or a spicy Thai curry!
